Innovation and Safety

Innovation

Modern ŠKODA cars offer continuous new innovations and technologies that make driving the car easier and contribute to the comfort of all passengers. Have a look at some of the most interesting ones.

 Innovation in cars

Development is not limited to the cars themselves, however. A constant process of innovation is applied to the very manufacture of these vehicles, during which we place an emphasis on conservation of the environment and high quality craftsmanship. Thanks to innovations in this area, ŠKODA AUTO is able to produce ever higher quality vehicles with minimum impact on the environment.

 Innovation in production

Safety

One of the primary objectives during development of ŠKODA cars is to offer all passengers the maximum possible level of safety. Our development is focused first and foremost on active safety, the goal of which is to prevent completely accidents and high-risk situations.

 Active safety

However, since even the greatest of efforts can’t prevent accidents entirely, ŠKODA vehicles are also constructed with an emphasis on passive safety, that is, the ability to dissipate the brunt of any impact and thereby protect passengers from injury.

 Passive safety

Research

No laboratory experiment can ever replace actual experience. For this reason, the Traffic Safety Research Team is prepared to head out to accidents in order to examine the functioning of safety elements in vehicles and find opportunities for their improvement.

 Traffic Safety Research

The impact testing of the international EuroNCAP organisation universally applies as a measure of a car’s passive safety. The ongoing exceptional results of ŠKODA cars are proof of the great attention devoted to their safety.
